Well... It means whatever you want it to mean. This blog is completely bias because I am a pirate. I love getting free stuff especially because I don't have the means of achieving it any other way. Almost all of these posts have been pro pirate. If you want my honest opinion... it's almost laughable at the attempts the government are making to end piracy. You've gotten about ten people and all but one have gotten off, and that one person was slapped on the wrist with a 3,000 dollar fine. Look the economy ain't that great and movies are the most pirated thing out. So how is that movie prices are rising? Is it because people are downloading the movies instead of going to the theater? Hell no! Have you seen the records that are going on right now. It's not too uncommon now for a major blockbuster to break the one billion dollar mark. The government has wasted more money by going after these people then they have gotten from them in court. It's a waste of people's time and money.
People are going to disagree with me. They will say that it is wrong, or that I'm hurting the industry. Truthfully, I'm not. And I hope that by reading some of these blogs you can see that internet piracy is above all a common thing that occurs and that no matter what the government does they will never rid the internet of piracy.

Game Of Pirating
Game of Thrones is BY FAR the most pirated show of all time. And when I say by far I mean it. Why do you ask? Because almost no one has access to it. In order to watch the show you must subscribe to HBO. The general population... doesn't do that. Even if you do have HBO how are you suppose to watch it at college in the dorms? We only have basic cable. Oh, and one big thing.. IT ISN'T AVAILABLE OUTSIDE THE USA! So when 7/8 of the world can't watch the show then how can you be mad at people for pirating it. All it does is promote the show if anything. So if people start watching it then they start buying merchandise and DVDs for it. Word of mouth spreads and soon enough more and more people are watching it. You know what I really think? I think that piracy in some ways can really help a show especially in this case and instead of going after people for it they should be thanking them.
Is... Is This The End?
For the first time in 8 long years The Pirate Bay is... well how do I say this? Down.
Yes, the most important website to all those who need their media for free. Yesterday, in the early morning Swedish Police raided a house in Stockholm where many servers and computers were taken in for further analysis. It was at this time that sites like The Pirate Bay and others went down. Police were hesitant to reveal the exact location where the raids took place. However, after a day we have now confirmed that the raid took place in a place near Nacka that was built into the mountains. Sounds like something straight out a movie doesn't it? It is rumored although not confirmed that one person was taken into custody. You can imagine that if you know you are running illegal servers you don't want to stick around which is why many of these places are unmanned unless someone there are server problems. As of right now none of the sites that The Pirate Bay host are up. It was reported that The Pirate Bay was raid proof because of the multitude of servers they have around the world. Apparently there are close to 24. It should only be a few more days until we see the resurrection of the site. Keep up with the blog for any immediate updates.

Well That's Interesting...
What if I were to tell you that over half of the American population pirates things off the internet on a daily basis. What if I were to tell you that those people who pirate things are also the same ones who purchase the most things legally. When it comes to the younger population of internet users nearly 70 percent of all users pirate various things. You didn't really expect your grandma to be stealing copyrighted things did you? Although it doesn't help 60 percent of these users reported that they would gladly pay a yearly fee to be able to download music or movies from companies.
Piracy In A Picture
I am just going to leave this hear because pictures can speak louder than words sometimes.

We Are Anonymous And We Have Demands
Anonymous is a group that has become famous for it's DDOS attacks on websites. They can easily bring down any website they wish and can obtain secure information. In 2012 they threatened Sweden for raiding The Pirate Bay HQ's. In the video below you can see the groups demands and watch their famous blank face masks. The masks closely resemble that of V for Vendetta.
The list of websites that the group was targeting was pretty large and it would be quite impressive for them to take down all those websites. If this is the normal reaction groups will have to the government taking down some sites, can you imagine the government trying to make pirating completely illegal. With a group so powerful online how do you expect fight against it.
